  1. medical center was HUGE. chad everett was a BIG ladies idol, ala Randy Mantooth/Fabio/Selleck. Many comic strips from the 40s-60s were not included in all of those cool comic strip books, as they were too ‘new’ in that big boom era of comics history. There is a blog called the Stripper’s Guide – you would not believe the number of long-running, obscure comic strips there are, much less the ones that had brief lives. Newspapers used to publish two or three editions a day and often would want strips that would be ‘new’ for each. The PEP thing/ instant Retcon effect is quite a concept to work with, but I think it is more of a brain/access to information phenomenon. If we are, indeed, in a Matrix-like scenario, the feeling of ‘leaping realities’ is merely a change in the program.

  2. Cher Lloyd came to promenance by finishing fourth in the (UK) X-Factor a couple of years ago. At least you don’t have to win anything to be a monarch slave!
