  1. Great stuff! House of Frankenstein was, as far as I recall, the first horror film I saw, when I was allowed to stay up late one night and watch it on TV somewhen in the mid-1970s. I immediately fell in love with these creaky old black and white movies. A few years later I was able to catch up the rest of the series when BBC2 started running its Summer saturday night seasons of horror double bills, where they’d often pair up an old Universal horror flick with a colour Hammer or Amicus film. Great days!
