I have a copy of those Beatles outtakes too, the ones with the Dig It jam session, Commonwealth, Tennessee, etc. Yeah, weird stuff… but they do prove at least that the Beatles weren’t constantly fighting during that time. They sound like they’re having a lot of fun.
A couple of my favorite bits from that:
One of the names Paul (or “Faux Paul” if you prefer) calls out is Clark Kent. I just love how thrilled John sounds in his response to that.
The whole song Commonwealth makes me laugh.
Paul: Commonwealth…
John: YES??
I think there’s just the slightest possibility that John might’ve been high that day… 😀
Apparently that material is from early in the Get Back/Let it Be sessions. Later on the crap hit the fan. There are hours upon hours of those recordings out there circulating.
Now you’ve got me wanting to track some of it down!
