——————————
Fuzzy Daupner was an obscure New Jersey rock band which, in the brief span of 3 years (1998-2001), created a catalog of 32 amazing songs. You can here all of these songs right here, along with complete lyrics, below.

Fuzzy Daupner began in 1998 when Carrie Engdahl began collaborating with her sister Denice and Denice’s husband Frank on creating songs. Awhile later, they joined forces with Rob DiCaterino on drums and formed the band Fuzzy Daupner. The final member, Phil Mould on bass, joined a little later.

They produced two home-recorded, Internet-distributed albums, and played many shows around New Jersey and NYC. But they never got signed and they broke up in November 2001.

As you will hear, there is something rather unique about these 32 songs. This audio release will hopefully help in keeping the songs alive – it is intended as a reference source for the songs.

FUZZY DAUPNER
————-

You were there in that college
And you like this god Frey
You were there in that college
And you like this god Loki

You said this was all you were waiting for
I gave you my heart, I told you my soul

You were there in that college
And you like this god Frey
You were there in that college
And you like this god Loki

I gave you everything that I possibly could
But you just stood there with your hands wide open
I guess I should have expected that you would

You were there in that college
And you like this god Frey
You were there in that college
And you like this god Loki

What about what I want?
Were you ever gonna give me that?

So, if I gave you what you wanted
Would you really be happy?
And if I gave you what you wanted
Would I have been loved?

—

———-
LITTLE FAN
———-
I’m a pretty cool chick
I like to laugh, I’m not too serious
maybe just a little mysterious
doesn’t that make you curious

I’m a pretty cool chick
I’ve got my own dot com
I play guitar, I write you songs
I even have my own car
I’ll let you take it for a ride

Let me make you feel like a man
you don’t gotta be my biggest fan
I could do so many things to you
and you could say you’re with the band
you could say you’re with the band

My candle’s not lit
hot wax could be naughty
when I use my voice like this
I’ll see you in the morning, little fan

Let me make you feel like a man
you don’t gotta be my biggest fan
I could do so many things to you
and you could say you’re with the band
you could say you’re with the band

I’m a pretty cool chick
I like to laugh, I’m not too serious
maybe just a little mysterious
doesn’t that make you curious
doesn’t that make you curious
THE MEXICAN HOVERCRAFT

Montana Kentucky Bermuda Maine
Hovercraft race and the dreamer Lorraine
Won the Mexican Hovercraft in a backgammon game
The first to Bar Harbor wins a trip into space

And the Mexican Hovercraft is ready for speed
Shields and Yarnell and J. Appleseed
The heck with nostalgia there can be a new dawning
Lorraine at the wheel is still sneering and yawning

Give it sweet attention
An incense on interstate rain
Give it sweet attention
Appomatox is buzzing again

Give it sweet attention
An incense on interstate rain
Give it sweet attention
Appomatox is buzzing again

October train stations as dark as can be
Thoughts from Cape May are numbingly clean
Racing stripes in an autumn scheme
Bolt Wintercindie and the Laser Bee

Kentucky is chill and the contest is fading
The Lippizan Stallions are ready for mating
The Halma Club geeks are bitter and jaded
Lorraine hits the brakes with a pepper elation

Give it sweet attention
An incense on interstate rain
Give it sweet attention
Appomatox is buzzing again

Give it sweet attention
An incense on interstate rain
MONSTER NOW
———–

So how you been my crazy monster head?
Are you lonely?
I know I haven’t been myself,
I thought I was OK on my own,
But sometimes you just need your
Crazy monster
Sometimes you just need your monster

Somethings very very very wrong
You’re my Easter
And someday this will get easier

Look at the sky
And say good-bye
Feelings don’t last
Licorice goes bad
And children sometimes cry and

Somethings very very very wrong
You’re my Easter
And someday this will get easier

“Have another cigarette,”
I say to myself
What else is there to do?
I convince my monster

Somethings very very very wrong
You’re my Easter
And someday this will get easier

So how you been my crazy monster head?
Are you lonely?
ONLY SAW TRUCKS
—————

The slower the warning here is building
And a slow travel down weird sideways
No fortress here nothing
Otherside and faraway something

Dreaming by the hotel check-in
He should be here any second
A glance and a look
I’m waiting for a car
But I only saw trucks
I only saw trucks

Detours to a row of vending machines
Hearing their voices trying to make my choices
Next time I’ll wear long sleeves

Dreaming by the hotel check-in
He should be here any second
A glance and a look
I’m waiting for a car
But i only saw trucks
I mantra slam all

My dreaming has changed to wondering
Many seconds have gone by
Pulling into my face with a smile
He has arrived and I told him that I was

Dreaming by the hotel check-in
Knowing you’d be here any second
Looking for your car but I only saw trucks
I only saw trucks

No wind no warning the desert is beat
Hopefully he’ll be back quick
Standing alone near a red rock plateau
The air is downy like thunder
In my pocket no keys or money
Just dice and fax and phone numbers
Wrench and bolt 3 2 1 contact
One way is loosen one way is damn tighten

Baby I wanna get moving
But I only saw trucks
Baby I wanna get moving
But I only saw trucks
I only saw trucks

Chocolate and vanilla are quite complimentary
You and I seem so contradictory
Picture perfect places only exist in pictures
And nothing is guaranteed as a permanent fixture

You and me, maybe not
Just a thought, that’s all I’ve got

And can I say we are
Crazy crossing a rocky stream
Kissing hills and air and dreams
Coltishly beaucoup in our mysteries

Bathing cool in a stimulating rio
Tiki and arctic phase at nanticoko
Singing folk space rock at the top of our lungs
Winding down in the wow fluff of the treetops

Whale and bird on a new kind of trip
Motors and lights and audio delights
Rubber bands are pumping energy

The treasure of me is stalking away
At the whining dusk of day
Your mental aggression craft is called
Attack-type dog

As we skydive in new wave ruins
She make weird animal dolls

The new age it just came and went
The humans we’re all stuck in are
The leftovers of an obvious recall

Under the moon or whatever
—————–

Though it wouldn’t compute today
There were some in the woods
Detergent like misty May go away
Sunglasses like that she’s no bank employee

The airport one of the grasslands
Has a nuclear weapon
There’s a reptile that’s almost here
And on carpet he ain’t steppin’

Seen the white phosphorus braids
Of the jingle bell maker of the breeze
Erotically wasted
On the leaves of hidden trees

There’s an elevator on the train
Of windmill and waterwheel
Saw a dryad with anthracite
Cuckoo clock’s cold, gotta heat that steel

Bold and bright and savage hammer
From a field of silly flowers
Dark artwork of a corporation
Snowy and ruined, my night hours

Seen the white phosphorus braids
Of the jingle bell maker of the breeze
Erotically wasted
On the leaves of hidden trees

Though it wouldn’t compute today
There were some in the woods
Detergent like misty May go away
Sunglasses like that she’s no park ranger

The airport one of the grasslands
Has a nuclear weapon
TAKE A NAP
———-

When this happens I feel trapped
‘Cause when this happens
I feel trapped

When this happens I take a nap
When this happens I take a nap
and throw me in the sack
‘Cause when all this stuff happens
I feel trapped

James K. Polk and his hamster Zack
Are playing out in the back
When this stuff happens I take a nap
When that happens I take a nap
I feel trapped
‘Cause when all this stuff happens
I take a nap
When this happens I take a nap
I feel trapped
I feel trapped

I’m too big for daddy’s lap
these days he just gives me a pat
so these days stuff happens
I take a nap
When that happens I take a nap
When this happens I take a nap
I feel trapped
I’m on attack

Don’t wake me up
or I’ll give you a whack

If that happened I’d take a nap

If you don’t let me nap
I’ll be on a Feral Kid attack

If that happened I’d take a nap
I’d play with Zack

When I wake from my nap
I can then deal with the crap
but when all this stuff happens
In Carbonite I’m trapped
I need a nap

TEN MINUTES CAT
—————

I always forget to water my plants
New clothes make me dance
I always forget to tell you how I feel

Always waiting for that second chance
Look at me with that long time glane
So I’m sure that you feel the same

Ten minutes cat, you better call
Ten minutes cat, until I fall
You’ve got ten minutes cat, that’s all

I can’t help feeling pissed
Why does no matter what this
Romance is such a game

Why do I leave it up to
Whether or not I feel blue
I don’t know what else to say or do

Ten minutes cat, I’m waiting no more
Ten minutes cat, this is such a chore
Ten minutes to call, that’s all

—————

A thousand years ago, I was so alone
I had three horses, Bob, Jake and Fred
I made my money by making bread
Those horses were my only friends
and you said I was weird cause, I talked to them,
but I knew, that you knew, that you loved me anyway

But, I was disruptive, I was untrusted, I was destructive with your heart
I was disruptive, I was untrusted, I was destructive with my heart
Transit shivers make me quiver
Transit shivers always make me quiver

Five hundred years ago, I was so alone
I had three plants, Daisy, Dead and Petal
I made my money by making metal
Those plants were my only friends
and you said I was crazy because, I talked to them,
but I knew, that you knew, that you loved me anyway

But, I was disruptive, I was untrusted, I was destructive with your heart
I was disruptive, I was untrusted, I was destructive with my heart
Transit shivers make me quiver
Transit shivers always make me quiver

One hundred years ago, I was so alone
I had three frogs, George, Blair, and Cope
I made my money by making soap
Those frogs were my only friends
and you said I was strange because, I talked to them
but I knew, that you knew, that you loved me anyway

But, I was disruptive, I was untrusted, I was destructive with your heart
I was disruptive, I was untrusted, I was destructive with my heart
Transit shivers make me quiver
Transit shivers always make me quiver

This year, I am so alone
I have three cuckoos, Mappy, Reese, and Kitty
I make my money by making old woman pretty
These cuckoos are my only friends
and you think I’m insane because, I talk to them
but I know, that you know, that you love me anyway

I’ll try not being so disruptive, or untrusted, or destructive with your heart
So disruptive, or untrusted, or destructive with my heart
Transit shivers make me quiver
Transit shivers always make me quiver
And maybe someday I won’t be so alone, so solo, so solo

Choo choo to gardens and plains,
yellow volcanoes in the rain

Welcome to the new world of passenger trains
Choo choo to gardens and plains,
yellow volcanoes in the rain
Their goal is no more than to entertain
Yet if passengers are threatened,
they will intervene

Enter the milieu, if you please, of The Us Hounds
Hildebad is on electric guitar, and Harla is on acoustic
Trace is on the bass guitar, and Bruckner plays the drums
They’re rocking out on the rails of the world, The Us Hounds!

And then again
Awfully bored of prance
WEIRD HIGHWAY
————-

I can’t say this song is called dial
Get telepathic with gecko and skink for awhile
Steel wool crossfire is grand
a thousand years old, drawn on a goddess’s hand

The subject of a company of dust
Dance rants laugh
On the Nordenskjold Line of my mind
Imbibing the stripes of industrial signs

Apartment pepper December fire coze
Clash of blasted slack with sudden pose
Like lemonglass walls of fulsome of those
Total envy as Tixe–a is the one I chose

Cruisin’ down a weird highway
on a Himalayan kitten’s couch
Truckin’ the dance of flying thru windows
is the only thing that counts

That Barchetta isn’t red
It’s gunmetal gray instead
Stumbling down Mediocre Lane
Some hatters are still sane

Dollhouse checkerboards in the black & tan
He’s in the air, And her name is Flare
And they are going over there

Well it’s official, it’s night
But I choke
Sometimes I laugh
When there’s no joke
Now you see me
Now you don’t
Sometimes I would
Most times I won’t

Black old shoes
And a dusty knife
I supinely rose, late last night
I did not succeed, ’cause the moment you sneezed
You blew all my courage away

You always find something to ruin my plans
You always found some way to serif my sans
But it’s okay ’cause I’ve got…

Built-in bookshelves baby
Built-in bookshelves
Go get your reading glasses
‘Cause I wanna teach you a lesson
about me

I thought I was easy to read
I thought I made it easy for you to read
I gave you the bait, but I guess you never bit
Could you really be this illiterate?

Built-in bookshelves baby
Built-in bookshelves
Go get those grinded lenses
‘Cause I’m gonna teach you lesson
about me

I could’ve been the book you can’t put down
Your neverending story
But I finally found
These built-in bookshelves inside me
I finally found these built-in bookshelves
Right here, inside me

Lissomeness, a creek, this geometric peace
Came so close to crashing, clean by not touching you at all
In your rockness, you made… me… see…
The flowers and fireworks in me
In your rockness, you made me see
And I learned a lesson about me

CATAMARAN WALKER
—————-

How could you let it come to this?
How could you let this take place?

The woman above me holds herself together with aerosol cans
The mirror seems to be her best friend
And I think this may change my plans
Since I’m starting to learn how to bend

Let me be who I am meant to be
Let me see how I can actually be

The woman below me tries to act drunk
Because she feels somewhat invisible
And I try to fathom the reason
But it’s really not so hard to see

Let me learn from other women’s mistakes
Let me learn so my heart will never break

The woman inside me is only a fantasy,
And the little girl that possesses me is only thinking about
Screaming and breaking free
The woman inside me is only a fantasy,
And the little girl that possesses me is only thinking
She’s only thinking

Let me learn from other women’s mistakes
Let me learn so my heart will never break

The person in the mirror is always a bit intrigued,
She is lonely, she is fearful, and not willing to receive
She imagines possibilities occuring from something only to realize
She still has nothing
So, she pretends to be okay and pretends to be alive, because she won’t be responsible for letting herself die
Is there a man out there who is able to fix this?
For some reason I doubt that he even exists

How could you let it come to this?
How could you let this take place?

Your time is up, it’s time to stand up and face this problem
That began long before you started to run,
Lost in space too far behind to ever catch up,
Losing my mind don’t tell me again to shut up,
‘Cause last time I listened and now look at me,
No really look…

Can you see me?…
Can you see me?

Each morning I sleep in your family room
Sunshine in the raw clamps your terra cotta
Somewhat perfect I attend to marshes in dreams
And your cat is nice to me

Driving your truck to a home architecture place
My headband is giving out 65 messages
Tears on the yellow credit card receipt
And the scowls of dour teens aplenty

Searching the tippy tops of your many closets
Boardgames from the seventies often lurk there
And I brew that deep peppermint tea
Having missed 15 minutes of Quincy

I was not happy with your E-mail from the airport
I got a pile of magazines and a collage to create
I might walk in the night, some festivals are near
I have a cougar’s soul, that’s what I’ll tell myself

and it’s real in an inside way
Chico Marx has the vital spark
If you like the chains, they’ll give you more

Calming the nerves of everyone
Dirtbike fun revolaxation
Hello keel your wanting need
Your handlers are a damnable weed

Surfing fun revolaxation
Surfing fun revolaxation
Surfing fun revolaxation
Surfing fun revolaxation

—

—————
FEAR NUMBER ONE
—————

If I told you a story would you want to hear the end?
‘Cause it’s kinda long and it’s awfully stupid
So just let me begin

It started on Michael’s porch in 1984
He stuck his tongue in my mouth and I fell to the floor

He said we were playing make-believe
But pretending was never that real
And since that day, I’ve been afraid
Of the real thing
I’m afraid of the real thing
I’m afraid of the real thing
I’m afraid of the real thing

His mom saw us and she called to tell mine
My mom stood there in the kitchen and asked what’s on my mind
And I said nothing
I said nothing
I said nothing
I said nothing

She asked if what she heard was true
I didn’t know what to say
I wanted to tell the truth
That Michael made me play
But I said nothing
I said nothing
and I lied
and I lied

And I’m not sure why, I let this control my mind
And I’m not sure how I became such a coward

I’m not sure why, I let this control my mind
I’m not sure how, it made me such a coward
I’m such a coward
I’m such a coward
I’m such a coward
I’m such a coward

And you loved to climb my tree
And you loved to watch me pee
Always asking how it works
How am I supposed know?
I’m only seven years old
How could you expect me know?
I’m only seven years old
Seven years old

And I’m not sure if that’s the reason
But it keeps my wonder sane
And maybe if this didn’t happen
I’d still turn out the same
Afraid of the real thing
I’m afraid of the real thing
I’m afraid of the real thing
I’m afraid of the real thing

And I wonder what would happen if the real thing came my way
What kind of excuses could I think of to say
Maybe I’d start to sing to help you understand
That I really don’t want to leave it’s just the way I am
Afraid of the real thing
I’m afraid of the real thing
I’m afraid of the real thing
I’m afraid of the real thing

—

——————————-
THE FILMOGRAPHY OF ANN B. DAVIS
——————————-

Boring books that other people read
About adults and their infidelities
And travelling to romantic places
These readers are wanting of sleeves with aces

Paper plates with the cartoon stars of the day
Inelegant remains of some kind of ice cream cake
As relatives are lazing the tension is phasing
And phone calls at night’s-end are hoped to be pleasing

Loving life can take more juice
Than the air conditioning at a mall
Rows and columns of bitches from college
Her place in the scheme of things is just idiotic

Loving life can take more juice
Than the air conditioning at a mall
Rows and columns of bitches from college
Her place in the scheme of things is just idiotic

As lame as a fast food no-left-turn sign
Dirty fingers that prod in the produce lane
Pirates adored as the dudes of pop culture
Real ones caused misery and torture

This place is construction zones and shoe store blues
The mentally scrambled at facade-craft are ample
The toys of the ’80s are ready and waiting
Sweaty clothes are stripped and the shower is dreaming

Loving life can take more juice
Than the air conditioning at a mall
Rows and columns of bitches from college
Her place in the scheme of things is just idiotic

Loving life can take more juice
Than the air conditioning at a mall
Rows and columns of bitches from college
Her place in the scheme of things is just idiotic

This place has crap from the past that better not last
The razor wire friends that talk empty and fresh
Loving life is a rock guitar haunting
The mall is so cold that I gotta keep running

Rows and columns of bitches from college
Rows and columns of bitches from college
Rows and columns of bitches from college
Her place in the scheme of things is changing just slightly

------------------------------
Fuzzy Daupner was an obscure New Jersey rock band which, in the brief span of 3 years (1998-2001), created a catalog of 32 amazing songs. You can here all of these songs right here, along with complete lyrics, below.

Fuzzy Daupner began in 1998 when Carrie Engdahl began collaborating with her sister Denice and Denice's husband Frank on creating songs.

This audio release will hopefully help in keeping the songs alive - it is intended as a reference source for the songs.

ALL THE LYRICS...

-------------
FUZZY DAUPNER
-------------

You were there in that college
And you like this god Frey
You were there in that college
And you like this god Loki

You said this was all you were waiting for
I gave you my heart, I told you my soul

You were there in that college
And you like this god Frey
You were there in that college
And you like this god Loki

I gave you everything that I possibly could
But you just stood there with your hands wide open
I guess I should have expected that you would

You were there in that college
And you like this god Frey
You were there in that college
And you like this god Loki

What about what I want?
Were you ever gonna give me that?

So, if I gave you what you wanted
Would you really be happy?
And if I gave you what you wanted
Would I have been loved?

----------
LITTLE FAN
----------
I'm a pretty cool chick
I like to laugh, I'm not too serious
maybe just a little mysterious
doesn't that make you curious

I'm a pretty cool chick
I've got my own dot com
I play guitar, I write you songs
I even have my own car
I'll let you take it for a ride

Let me make you feel like a man
you don't gotta be my biggest fan

Lyrics:

And can I say we are
Crazy crossing a rocky stream
Kissing hills and air and dreams
Coltishly beaucoup in our mysteries

Bathing cool in a stimulating rio
Tiki and arctic phase at Nanticoko
Singing folk space rock at the top of our lungs
Winding down in the wow fluff of the treetops

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

Humpback dude with jackdaw steed
Whale and bird on a new kind of trip
Motors, lights and audio delights
Rubber bands are pumping energy

The treasure of me is stalking away
At the whining dusk of day
Your mental aggression craft is called
Attack-type dog

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

Above the primly introspective waste
The Rover is the tune
As we skydive in new wave ruins
She make weird animal dolls

Pogs were not a lasting trend
The new age it just came and went
The humans we’re all stuck in are
The leftovers of an obvious recall

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

The Overnightscape Underground (onsug.com) - "An audio world to discover and explore."
Created by Frank Edward Nora (frank@theovernightscape.com) in New Jersey, USA

Credits: Carrie Engdahl: Music, Vocals, Acoustic Guitar. Rob DiCaterino: Drums, Electric Guitar, Recording, Mixing. Phil Mould: Bass Guitar. Frank Edward Nora: Lyrics. ------------------------------
Lyrics:

And can I say we are
Crazy crossing a rocky stream
Kissing hills and air and dreams
Coltishly beaucoup in our mysteries

Bathing cool in a stimulating rio
Tiki and arctic phase at Nanticoko
Singing folk space rock at the top of our lungs
Winding down in the wow fluff of the treetops

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

Humpback dude with jackdaw steed
Whale and bird on a new kind of trip
Motors, lights and audio delights
Rubber bands are pumping energy

The treasure of me is stalking away
At the whining dusk of day
Your mental aggression craft is called
Attack-type dog

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

Above the primly introspective waste
The Rover is the tune
As we skydive in new wave ruins
She make weird animal dolls

Pogs were not a lasting trend
The new age it just came and went
The humans we're all stuck in are
The leftovers of an obvious recall

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

We can walk together
Under the moon or whatever
And our nasty predawn jive
Will even make the scorpions cry

Lyrics:

Early in the concrete cement
Sheet metal whatever center
The seeping enterprise washing
I wish this snow was unrelenting

I bore a hole in the Nunavut springtime
My misery isn’t interesting at all

I bore a hole in the Nunavut springtime
My misery isn’t interesting at all

Overnight cable got the
Beanies and the Christian Rock
And all the puppets there
Are constructed outta socks

Overnight cable got the
Beanies and the Christian Rock
And all the puppets there
Are constructed outta socks

The they and the temperature level
Black trees, his antimatter sneeze
Selected slash of casino ash
Lass in the pedways of Halifax

I bore a hole in the Nunavut springtime
My misery isn’t interesting at all

I bore a hole in the Nunavut springtime

Overnight cable got the
Are constructed outta socks

Overnight cable got the
Beanies and the Christian Rock
And all the puppets there
Are constructed outta socks

I prepared all last night
To rip the waterfall to shreds
Deemrose Bonnie crossbow humid
Pedway ankh the breeze is in shock

I bore a hole in the Nunavut springtime
My misery isn’t interesting at all

I bore a hole in the Nunavut springtime

Overnight cable got the
Beanies and the Christian Rock

Early in the sheetrock day
My chocolate factory is in no way
Hershey or Wonka but it’s quite okay
Its effect keeps my childhood erect

I bore a hole in the Nunavut springtime
Lyrics:

Us Hound Control, to The Us Hounds below
All aboard for action, we’re ready to go!

Welcome to the new world of passenger trains
Choo choo to gardens and plains
yellow volcanoes in the rain
Their goal is no more than to entertain
Yet if passengers are threatened
they will intervene

All that youth in media culture
Is daydream fodder for grandfathers and fathers
Claws named youth and visual jazz
The Weather Channel frail honchos
