OVERNIGHTSCAPE CENTRAL [ 351 ] – Disappearance (8/21/17)

22796463-mmmain (2:37:21) It’s been a week, but we’re back! We have NOT disappeared!

Chad Bowers is serious when he talks about the disappearance of truth in media, ‘drugstore horses’ and other important things; Dave Duckert has three personal stories on exhibit and I think you’ll enjoy them all; Doc Sleaze has a few items about news suppressed by the media and disappearances of old TV series and films; Frank Edward Nora talks about the disappearance of all kinds of things and various people in his very interesting piece; and your host Jimbo chimes in with ‘disappearance memories’ of his own (Mark Fidrych, Bill Idelson, Jerry Lewis – plus the time Jimbo disappeared).

You’re all invited to be a part of next week’s show; you can tell us all what’s on your mind about the following topic: Whatever

ons1407_300 (2:54:44) Tributes!

Dave Duckert’s tribute is to his dad and a motorcycle .. Frank Edward Nora has a big tribute to 1982’s video games .. Doc Sleaze talks of obituaries and has a tribute to John Heard ..your host Jimbo has a couple of small tributes (to fast-food chain Arbys and another to a young Bill Idelson) – plus the Week in Review!

OVERNIGHTSCAPE CENTRAL [ 349 ] – Aha! Moments (8/7/17)

ons766_300 (2:42:31) Jimbo’s no Oprah Winfrey, but like Oprah, he asks the vocal forum to spout their AHA MOMENTS. And the forum responds: Shambles Constant returns (with the story about his newly broken ankle); Dave Duckert talks about his ‘blinding flash of light’; Chad Bowers, too, recounts moments of illumination – from a strangely serious point-of-view (I think), Frank Edward Nora talks about AHA MOMENTS in a way that only he can and Doc Sleaze spends a day at the beach and shares some time with us!

Meanwhile, Jimbo has been busy making hay and I’m certain if you will download and listen in and to the end, he will surprise you in ways that may surprise you!! Yes, you read that correctly. Plus, he has a Hall of Fame-type ‘Week in Review’ — or he modestly thinks so.

So, what are you waiting for? Patch in for fun!

OVERNIGHTSCAPE CENTRAL [ 348 ] – Hero, or Almost a Hero

ONS Central (2:11:36) If statistics mean anything, then Internet audio pioneer Frank Edward Nora is a HERO.  Your host Jimbo has an exclusive, candid interview with him. Chad Bowers has his own Dystopia/hero story; Dave Duckert, from the frozen(?) tundra of Wisconsin, is back with another special story – this one about the time he broke up an ‘old boy political network’; Jimbo has a really goofy “Week-in-Review” that you won’t want to miss [Godzilla and Timo vs the Kyoto Cicadas?] and later talks about heroes in his life.

OVERNIGHTSCAPE CENTRAL [ 347 ] – Strange but True

strange (3:29:03) It’s a STRANGE BUT TRUE BONANZA!! Dave Duckert (from dairy-rich Wisconsin) returns with a couple of strange stories; Chad Bowers shares weirdness two different times, PQ Ribber comes out of the woodwork and does some fancy promoting, Frank Edward Nora’s fascination with cartoon owls will be prevalent in his bizarre presentation and Doc Sleaze puts on the presentation of the year with his incredibly creative multi-story feast! Also: Jimbo honestly recounts the most odd moments from his career for all to chew on! Plus the “Week in Review” and fascinating facts galore!!

After the show, check out the 2004 HGTV Dream Home in SE Georgia USA, where Jimbo delivered that pizza he mentioned.

OVERNIGHTSCAPE CENTRAL [ 344 ] – Nobody Told Me

ons1246_300 (1:33:29) It’s a slow, hot, holiday-like, weekend-like weekday! And that means a slow Central… but not without it’s merit! Central veteran Dave Duckert tells an amusing story about alcoholic drinks! Frank Edward Nora shares his world of wisdom with us all! And Jimbo has a big bag of fun at the end of the show, relaying how NOBODY TOLD HIM this, that and the other – plus the Week in Review. Brief holiday fun for one and all. Grab some fireworks and listen to the gang shoot their mouths off!
