    I worked in the live music business for many years. One of the exciting aspects of that WAS the ephemeral nature of putting on a show. As technicians, we had our skills and of course so did the musicians. Each night we put that all together to make it happen for the audience. You had one shot. There were no do-overs. It wasn't the monotonous work in a studio. It was about a slice of time in people's lives. It was a bit of "time-capture" if not time-travel that attracted me the most. Then there was the music, the alcohol (working in Bars mostly) and the women. Mostly the women mixed with alcohol ... and the music, ... but I digress. ...
