1. "Black Honeymoon" by DaveKY & SunoAI (v4.5) With two parts down and two to go We're halfway through the Dain Curse show And if we're playing Name That Tune This part is called Black Honeymoon Honeymoon, Black Honeymoon We'll name this tune Black Honeymoon As back from Reno come the two He bills at her, but she won't coo And something worse will happen soon To make a blacker honeymoon Honeymoon, Black Honeymoon We'll name this tune Black Honeymoon But that would be a spoiler so For now we'll have to let that go So gather round, pull up a seat Black Honeymoon should be a treat Honeymoon, Black Honeymoon We'll name this tune Black Honeymoon 2. "Off the Beaten Path" (instrumental) by SunoAI (v4.5) 3. "A Honeymoon in Separate Rooms" by DaveKY & SunoAI (v4.5) A walk along A mountain path Something went wrong A head was smashed Slipped off the cliff Grabbed at a bush Wondering if He had been pushed A honeymoon In separate rooms Two people doomed To lives of gloom A honeymoon In separate rooms A marriage doomed To be entombed And there he hung For one short stay To life he clung Till roots gave way And then he fell And smashed his head Heaven or hell Or not -- he's dead A honeymoon In separate rooms A marriage doomed To be entombed 4. "Quesada, Quesada" by DaveKY and SunoAI (v4.5) For Senorita Gaby It hardly could be worse She treated Senor badly How could she blame the Curse? She wasn't at the Tookers Shell-casings on the floor His absence must have shook her She hadn't locked the door Quesada, Quesada Her chance seems less than nada With deputies like Rolly on her trail Quesada, Quesada The entire enchilada Seems designed to wind her up in jail She sped off in the flivver Alone, at first, we think And then a man was with her The worse to make things stink And then the roadster crashes A eucalyptus tree Confused as Senor Dash is Is what we're sure to be Quesada, Quesada Her chance seems less than nada With deputies like Rolly on her trail Quesada, Quesada The entire enchilada Seems designed to wind her up in jail And so our little hophead's Condition's not the best One of these days she'll drop dead From drug-induced arrest From drug-induced, cardiac arrest 5. "Back to Quesada" by DaveKY & SunoAI (v4.5) The curse may be eggs in the coffee But ransom's a pig in a poke The note sent to Owen Fitzstephan May be nothing more than a joke Now Owen may be literary In fact he's a bit of a fop But he can be tough in a tussle Though not quite as tough as the Op He angled the Op for an invite And offered to lend him a hand He wasn't a bad hand at snooping And he knew the lay of the land So back to Quesada Quesada we go Where there is a lotta Stuff that we don't know The girl's gone; who got her? So on with the show And back to Quesada Quesada we go His method of investigation Is erudite, though often wrong It raises the level of discourse So might as well bring him along And so we are off to Quesada The Op first, with Owen behind The plot is quite soon to be thickened So keep all the plot points in mind So back to Quesada Quesada we go Where there is a lotta Stuff that we don't know The girl's gone; who got her? So on with the show And back to Quesada Quesada we go, &c. 6. "Blinded by Ambition" by DaveKY & SunoAI (v4.5) The sheriff and the marshal and the county D.A. All want to be the focus of the news of the day They meet with the reporters and make sure they all take notes Get pictures in the papers and get words enclosed in quotes Each wants to be perceived as one big man with one big mission But they can't complete the mission when they're blinded by ambition When ambition is blind All you got on your mind Is getting consigned extra credit Your task is defined By what makes you shine It'll prey on your mind if you let it The prosecutor, sheriff and the marshal all know That if they're in the news their reputation will grow And like all politicians their concern is just for "me" So what's it even matter if the guilty should go free? Each wants to be perceived as one big man with one big mission But they can't complete the mission when they're blinded by ambition When you're blinded by ambition You forget about the mission That's an error of omission, buddy, pal! It don't take a pro logician To see flaws in your position It's subtraction by addition; find the gal! &c. 7. "A Feral Cat Indeed" by DaveKY & SunoAI (v4.5) A carload full of bloodhounds Was chasing down a lead But one of them was feral A feral cat indeed And he had dragged a herring Across the trail ahead To lead them to a suspect A man he wanted dead A carload full of bloodhounds Was sloshing through the rain The driver was a lone wolf Who'd planned a clever frame He drove them to a farmhouse He showed them to a bed With clues that implicated The man he wanted dead It's bad enough when po-po's Just mill around like dodos Or rush around like Sennett's Keystone Cops But when their views are slanted And evidence is planted That's when the mass confusion never stops And when a township's marshal Though sworn to be impartial Attempts to pin a job upon his rival The public is in peril The bloodhounds have gone feral And no one is assured of his survival A carload full of bloodhounds Was chasing down a lead But one of them was feral A feral cat indeed 8. "Guilty Just the Same" by DaveKY & SunoAI (v4.5) A boatload full of bloodhounds Went looking for a cove They found it on the shoreline Where Tim, their driver, drove And there they found the culprit With Gaby, who'd been snatched And there they put an end to The plot that had been hatched The man picked up his rifle Made sure that it was cocked And then threw down upon them Before they could get docked He shouted, "Double crosser!" And tried to take a life And even though they killed him He hadn't killed the wife He was framed, he was framed But he's guilty just the same It happens that way sometimes In this here sleuthing game He was framed, he was framed But his innocence was feigned And if he weren't a dead man He ought to be detained The man who framed his rival (The marshal with the wife) He found out she was cheating And therefore took her life It was another frame-up But this one didn't work The Op did some detecting And then accused the jerk With one hand on his pistol And one hand on his wrist The Op subdued the marshal The sheriff stopped his fist But what of Harvey Whidden? (The one the marshal framed) It turned out he was guilty And should have been detained He was framed, he was framed But he's guilty just the same It happens that way sometimes In this here sleuthing game He was framed, he was framed But his innocence was feigned And though he is a dead man He's guilty just the same 9.
