(19:48) You may think this is about baseball but it’s not. Even if you are not a baseball fan, please listen. It’s all about ethics.
The beloved American game of baseball has become a game of ethics. Nothing illegal is involved — but it is UNETHICAL. Jimbo speaks his mind, as one of the puppies suffers a “panic attack” on-air.

(13:42) PQ Ribber recently released an album called WYOMING ESCALATOR 3 under the pseudonym, “Nitroglycerine Pep Club”. Jimbo contributed to some of the songs on that piece of work.
However, during the making of the album, PQ and Jimbo exchanged musical ideas numerous times. Many of these were violently* rejected by Mr. Ribber and a sad Jimbo was left to lick his wounds.
Until now! Jimbo takes most of the songs Mr. Ribber rejected and has turned them into this EP that he calls, “PQ Ribber Hates Jimbo”.
All of the songs here (except the very first two) were originally written by PQ Ribber – Jimbo just added junk on top of what was there.
* it wasn’t so much “violence” as it was PQ was probably altered “burrito-hungry” and just forgot where he put the files.
Hopefully everyone knows this is all in jest! PQ is “ok” 🙂 Seriously, thanks to PQ for his great music!

I really don't know the names/titles of these songs. Ask PQ Ribber.

(20:33) The other day, in the tremendous (if I may say so) ONS Central podcast I mentioned that you could probably take 2 minute clips of random “Vic and Sade” episodes and find ‘genius’. I’m not sure if I said those words exactly, but I pretty much said that.
So I sat down and picked 10 random episodes of “Vic and Sade”. It just so happens that 8 of 10 of these are from 1939 and 1940. But again, it was random. Then I chose 2 minute segments out of each.
Five of the episodes I chose the time segment 2 minutes to 4 minutes. The remaining episodes, I chose clips from the 3 minute to 5 minute mark.
Can ‘genius’ be found?

(35:28) In 2010-11, not knowing what I was doing and having the world’s worst microphone, I haphazardly began recording a series of short podcasts about various aspects of old-time radio. Even to this day, this is not really done anywhere and it’s my belief that someone could have a really popular show (maybe even with sponsors) if they knew what they were doing and would dedicate a few hours a week to such an endeavor. I didn’t play OTR shows back then, I would simply state my opinions about various aspects of OTR. At the time, it was the most popular thing I did online BY FAR – and I did it with absolutely ZERO funds. I remember trying hard to obtain a microphone, but to no avail (I was homeless, then). It wasn’t too long after I began this that I found “Vic and Sade” — which literally changed my life (seriously)!
Anyway, none of the audio here sounds great. I had in mind a 10 minute daily show. Somehow, I ran out of steam early on, despite the fact that I had plenty of faithful listeners and followers right off the bat (plus, I was plugged into a community that was — and still is — eager for this sort of thing).
I just talked about whatever I wanted to talk about in the world of old-time radio. Here are a sample of a few of my shows:
CONTENTS:
I Hate ‘Herman the Duck’ (Burns and Allen) .. I Don’t Like Mary Livingstone (The Jack Benny Program) .. Gale Gordon (various shows) .. John Gibson (various programs) .. Elliot Lewis (the very funny “Delivery Guy” character, Burns and Allen)
