Not finished listening to this yet but am up to Chinatown and enjoying it greatly. I spent several months in San Francisco and every weekend I would walk and MUNI all over the city. The best rambling city I have experienced. So, I can picture most of the places you are going to and I have to say a lot of that history I didn’t know. I’m not sure if it is the Escapist or his brother but I am learning a lot. Generally, I prefer your unorthodox style of tour guiding. But in this case I was happy to learn all that history about a place I loved. It has proved an interesting overlapping ramble also. While listening to it I have been driving across far northeastern New Mexico and into the Oklahoma panhandle on a two lane highway. Couldn’t get much more different……semi arid high plains and miles without seeing a farm or another car….and meanwhile in my minds eye I am seeing San Francisco.

Finally listened to this one…great stuff! Sounds like Escapist & his brother are quite the knowledgeable tour guides! I was out there about a decade back with my wife and older son (when he was a baby). We saw all the sites & then drove Hwy#1 down the CA coast through the Big Sur & all the way to LA. It was quite a trip!
