This is a new audio version of my book New Whychock Revival. I recently wanted to put together a short version of the book the same length as A Wine of Wizardry by George Sterling. I eventually decided on an excerpt, which ran about 13 minutes. I chose a new computer voice to read it – “Azure Grant MAI-Voice-2.1”. I liked how this voice approached the material, so I decided to have it read the whole thing. In this new version, I added two new poems from Weird Little Highway, 8 and 9, and revised 9 a little. So sit back, relax, and enjoy this Epic Psychedelic Gen Z Poem!

Wow, I really enjoyed listening to this one. More than any other section so far, my memories of it have faded so much since I wrote it around 30 years ago, that it was like reading something I’ve never read before. And it’s just one long section of the same story. The story of Prince Ferrajalt and Hilltop Jone Rallity and the Stormbolthouses and Lunatether and the Tock Hounds… damn, I was really on a roll back then. It’s upsetting to think that with so much potential, I just gave up on Severe Repair… it could have been something great. Who knows, maybe I can get back to it… I think I will, even if it’s just to complete a few storylines in a limited way.

Wow, a lot of great stuff here, along with terrible stuff, as usual for Severe Repair. I can see the book that could have been, between the cracks, and it’s really a shame that I was never able to pull it all together. I don’t think I’ve revisited these sections for a long time, a lot of it was new to me, as the memory of it has faded away over the years. What a strange experience.
