4:00:32 – Welcome to Tape Land! On each episode, I’ll present the audio of a cassette tape or historic recording from my collection. It’s a way to help motivate me to release more of my archives.
For the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of The Overnightscape Central, enjoy this presentation of 4 hours of random 2-minute clips from the entire history, so far, of the Central!
On the recent Central episode “10 Years of the Central 2 (11/10/20)” I presented a 20-minute block of random 2-minute clips. Since I had the whole system in place, I figured I’d make a longer block to present here on Tape Land.
When I loaded the over 30,000 random 2-minute clips into the music program, I hit random just once, and the first clip of the random sequence was the very beginning of the Central episode “Onsugland (9/1/15)” – which is the track I have on the main Onsug Radio page on Archive.org! What are the chances?
The very last random track was the penultimate segment of “Magic (6/5/17)”, so I manually added the remaining 22 seconds to reach a fitting ending.
Enjoy this deep and wandering stroll through 10 years of the Central… (the name “Centralscans” is inspired by my original alternate name of The Overnightscape, “Nightscans”)
