Doc Sleaze: It Definitely Didn’t Happen to Me! (4/30/25)

57:20 – By decree of Donald J Trumper, this is a politics free edition. Well, maybe. This time around, Doc Sleaze’s natural scepticism is put to the test as he ponders as to why he has never been invited to join the local coven and why weird phenomena never happen to him, either. Also included, an excursion into classic British smut and the sexual orientation of the Tate brothers. Little Miss Strange brings us some entirely deniable celebrity scandal and gossip in ‘Total Bollocks’ and we drop in on edition of ‘Action Business Bulletin’ to examine the impact of US tariffs. Plus a couple of slimy monster movies discussed. Includes:

Donald J Trumper’s Content Guarantee ¦ Natural Born Sceptic ¦ Forgotten Film – ‘From Beyond’ (1986) Including Trailer ¦ Total Bollocks with Little Miss Strange ¦ Local Evil ¦ Action Business Bulletin – Monster Markets ¦ It Definitely Didn’t Happen to Me ¦ Forgotten Film – ‘Hunchback of the Morgue’ (1972) Including Trailer ¦ More Total Bollocks with Little Miss Strange ¦ Getting Straight (Out of the Closet) ¦ ‘Carry on Camping’ (1969) Trailer ¦ Authentic British Smut ¦ Sid James Has the Last Laugh

Tape Land 183 – Hemisinister Review from OsoaWeek (1994–2002) [released 4/27/25]

3:30:55 – Welcome to Tape Land! On each episode, I’ll present the audio of a cassette tape or historic material from my personal archives.

Hemisinister Review from OsoaWeek, by Frank Edward Nora, 1994–2002, recorded 4/26/25

Before Onsug Radio, my main creative outlet was  OsoaWeek, “the weekly ezine of Obliviana Super Occult Amusement (Osoa)”, which I published online from 1994 to 2003. It contained numerous features, one of which, Hemisinister Review, presented reviews of a wide variety of things.

While much of OsoaWeek is a puzzling, self-indulgent mess, I always thought the reviews were a great snapshop of those times. I’ve been meaning to collect them and read them in audio for quite some time. Finally, yesterday, on a rainy Saturday, I had the time and inclination, and I sat on the porch in the rain and read all of Hemisinister Review, in what I thought of as a “90s voice”.

It took much longer than I thought – over 3 and a half hours. But it was a cool romp through the mind of a much-younger me. There are a lot of points of view and perspectives that I no longer agree with in my older form, but overall, it was quite amusing and informative.

– Frank Edward Nora, 4/27/25

Nothing is Real #2 (4/26/25)

39:36 – Another of our occasional series created with AI tools, this time presenting ‘Ghost Talk’, a chat show about ghosts, apparitions and hauntings where several guest experts discuss a selection of supernatural stories culled from my site The Sleaze.

Jules Bidet introduces Dr Keith Uppock discussing the reign of terror of a resurrected Victorian ghoul in contemporary London, while paranormal experts Ash Dieback and Diane Butz discuss a series of bizarre modern day hauntings in Britain’s New Towns and housing estates. Finally, resident agony aunt the Reverend Leonard Fanny tries to get to the bottom of a listener’s ghostly experiences.
