36:06 – To celebrate the release of a new James Bond movie, we look into the world of 007 knock offs, with the Schlock Express making a dangerous journey to wherethe spies are.  From sun drenched Portugal, where TV’s Dr Ben Casey battles porn obsessed villain Hammerhead and his crew of British character actors, via a global quest to discover whether Jaguar Lives, we wind up in Italy to check whether it’s OK Connery as we follow the excapades of Sean’s plastic surgeon, hypnotist, secret agent and jobbing builder brother.  Along the way, we’ll try to ascertain just what it is that makes the real Bond, well, Bond.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far… (oops… sorry, wrong show). A long time ago at a high school not too far away, Byron & a couple of his friends dreamt up an insane comedy cable access show called Those Guys. This spawned a skit called Space Trek, which has now been revived for an exclusive audio mini-series of episodes here on Gunkcast. Join Byron & a full ensemble cast of talent for the biggest, most action packed (& quite possibly the most lunatic) installment of our Space Trek series yet!

Follow Dr. Leroy Stones M’Boy, Sock, Checkout, Snotty, & the rest of the crew of the Starship Arrow as they continue on their adventure which has guided them through time & space to rescue the missing Captain Jerk. While The Doc (piloting his TARGIT) attempts to hold off the hideous fleet of warships known as the Minions Of J (dispatched by the sinister Double-J Raygun himself), M’Boy & his crew now find themselves stranded on the Island of Impossible Moss as a result of a tiny slight detail they overlooked when they beamed down. But they soon discover they may not be alone on this strange & mysterious island… and the real rollercoaster ride starts here! Trust us, this 3rd part of the series has it all! (33:18) Way back in 2003 the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, internet podcast pioneer Frank Edward Nora wrote a bunch of lyrics for a New Jersey “Folk Space Rock” band called ‘Fuzzy Daupner’ [history] [songs/lyrics]. Most of the lyrics Frank wrote were turned into music by the band and performed at many locales.

In the Spring of 2015, Jimbo ran across these songs for the first time while doing the show, The Frank Nora Time Machine – Hosted by Jimbo. Long story short, Jimbo asked Frank if he could take a shot at writing his own music for some/parts of those same lyrics – but not in the conventional way – more like – the ‘Jimbo way’.

Jimbo shuffled his feet and never did do much of anything with the lyrics – until about two weeks ago. And what you have here is the creation of the two. The lyrics are very Frank-like and the music is… well… Jimbo-like. Frank liked what he heard and Jimbo was also pleased and so the project has been released for all to hear.

Jimbo chose the name ‘Fuzzy Wuzzy’ for this project (in an obvious homage to Fuzzy Daupner).

All words by Frank Edward Nora. All music by Jimbo. The wonderful artwork is by Clara Tse (many thanks!) and a lot of PQ Ribber influence from his ‘Shocking Baby Secrets‘. What we have here is an Overnightscape Underground musical eruption.
