1:49:31 -Â These are two recordings that stand out in my mind, where I ventured out to malls in Queens and made special recordings. The first one was for the Nightstation patch Coaxial, and the second one was for “Basic Overnightscape”. I’ve collected them here so that they are easier to listen to.
On both recordings I talk about new ideas – Nightstation in the first one and Ramplers in the second one. Both ideas are related, and I’ve had to go back to the drawing board on both of them. I’m still working on these kind of ideas, and I’m hopeful that some variant will be useful when the time is right… but in any case, it’s therapeutic for me to revisit these recordings…

1:32:26 – I’ve been listening to old Nightstation segments and I came across this one from the Gasohol patch, and I really enjoyed it. I figured I would release it here for everyone to check out. This is the first time it’s been released in “hifi” audio. Topics include De La Soul, Stereolab, The Word, Katie Puckrik, Perfect Gambler, and The Jim Henson Hour Pitch Tape.
I’m still thinking about Nightstation. It had a number of aspects that worked, both also a lot that didn’t work. I still may bring it back someday in a new form.
