1:01:06 – We’re back on the Schlock Express to explore the world of low-rent vigilante movies, looking at the difference between rogue cops and vigilante cops enroute. A selection of eighties titles gives us a chance to explore the idea of Vietnam as a causal factor in urban vigilantism, lady vigilantes fighting for the kind of feminism that male viewers of this schlock can cheer on and a fake sequel to a non-existent original.

50:00 – Doc Sleaze welcomes you back on board the ‘Schlock Express’ for some ‘Cannibal Capers’. This time around we explore the bizarre world of the Italian cannibal movie, including a softcore/cannibal crossover, before taking a look at some foreign attempts to cash in on this most Italian of exploitation genres, including an entry that draws on the UK’s own cannibal story traditions.

43:48 – Doc Sleaze is back with his ‘other’ show (after a lengthy hiatus) for some ‘Fun With the Living Dead’. So, board the ‘Schlock Express’ for a journey through a selection of seventies and eighties zombie movies which all take radically different approaches to the living dead. From shambling Voodoo monsters to respectable – but dead – citizens and from the graveyards of Old England to the coastal resorts of New England, join our journey through four different perspectives on the zombie.

35:17 – Schlock Express is back with a no-frills lockdown episode. From plastic bikinis and clunky robots to space heroes with drawn on moustaches, we take a look into the wild world of Italian Star Wars knock offs.
Kicking off with The Humanoid and its cast of James Bond veterans, we move on to possibly the high point of this sub-genre with the magnificently surreal Starcrash before plumbing the depths with Alfonso Brescia’s poverty stricken space opera, Star Odyssey.

28:57: Travel back in time with the Schlock Express to examine a trio of swinging sixties psychedelic heist movies. Watch silver fox Stewart Grainger battle killer nuns as he tries to get to the bottom of ‘The Trygon Factor’! Thrill to the psychedelic antics of Italian anti-hero Diabolik as he robs the establishment and keeps it all in his far out hideout! Finally, gasp as middle aged drop out ‘Duffy’ conspires to commit a sea going groovy bullion heist! Along the way, we’ll ruminate over how the swinging sixties mythologised itself and the morality of movie heroes!

33:28 – The Schlock Express goes on a continental summer excursion to take in the sights of classic Italian exploitation movies. Watch as beautiful women are urged to Strip Nude for Your Killer in possibly the sleaziest Giallo ever made, while the Doc muses on the sexual politics of seventies slasher movies. Rogue cops, meanwhile, Live Like a Cop, Die Like a Man as the ‘polizioteschi’ genre goes psycho. Finally, The Wild Beasts, the bastard mutant offspring of the Mondo movie and, well, God knows what, sees drugged up zoo animals invade the streets of Frankfurt in some of the most irresponsible film making in the history of exploitation!

37:00 The Schlock Express is back on the rails, taking a look at London’s Soho in the sixties through a Mondo lens, courtesy of three classic ‘shockumentaries’. First stop is a trek through the ‘West End Jungle’ and its clip joints, photography ‘clubs’ and escort agencies. We also see ‘London in the Raw’, with its vista of East End pubs, West End clubs, meths drinkers, drug addicts, cat food eating beatniks and hair transplants. Finally, we confront ‘Primitive London’ and its tribes of mods, rockers and beatniks, horrible murders and factory farming.

(33:42) The Schlock Express is back on the rails and heading back into the seventies to explore the evolution of British horror movies. From the prehistoric terrors to be found of the ‘Horror Express’, through the freak shows and experiments of ‘The Mutations’ to the brain eating, electric drill brandishing cannibal grannies of ‘Frightmare’, we take a journey from English Gothic horror traditions, through sex, nudity and Soho to urban gore and the proto slasher movie. It’s all here: Telly Savalas chewing up the scenery, Tom Baker as you’ve never seen him before and little old ladies’ cracking open skulls to get at the brainy goodness within! So jump aboard the Schlock Express now!

39:18 – The Schlock Express takes a journey back in time, to the so-called ‘Swing London’ of the late sixties and early seventies. But did London really swing? Italian ‘Mondo’ movie ‘Naked England’ gives us an outsider’s look at ‘Swinging England’ – free drugs, transvestites, violence, happenings and lots and lots of nudity – before we turn to three of the titans of British celluloid sleaze to give us the gutter level view of the era. Sex killers stalk the swinging scene in Lindsay Shonteff’s ‘Night, After Night, After Night’, teenagers find themselves ruthlessly exploited in the groovy capital city in Pete Walker’s ‘Cool it Carol’ whilst the ‘Groupie Girl’ uncovers the seedy side of the pop scene in Derek Ford’s sexploitation classic
