  1. people are weird. people are weird about popcorn. My years at the movie theatre I would sometimes have to jump behind the concession stand with the girls. Boy were ushers then, girls were concession, that was the deal. Anyway, you would always run into folks who got upset if the corn wasnt hot right out of the kettle, they’d say, “dont give me that old corn, give me that hot fresh corn. I would tell them that I ate popcorn everyday, lots of it, because it was free for me. I would tell them that the corn tasted better if you let is settle for a few hours. I don’t think that hot fresh corn is all that great. But what can you do, people are weird.

I wonder if some people get upset about jackalopes because they were once made to look silly for having believed in them. Its one of those things that some people miss being a joke, and then later feel dumb. Like some people who still believe in cow tipping, even though it doesn’t exist, or taking a kid on a snipe hunt. Lets go get the snipe. But its easy to mess these clues, when you’ve got the kid out in the woods hunting and its dark and you hear a coon move, you might think you really are closing in on the elusive snipe, but nope, like cowtipping, not real.
