The Midnight Citizen 69 — Cat Scratch Fever

1:34:11 — Mike walking around Wal-Mart in the morning and talking about stuff, including: looking at camping supplies, backpacks; medium “Crestwood Blend” coffee from the Crestwood Coffee Shop; the song “5 o’Clock World”; different Birmingham radio stations; looking at TVs; I got a new TV, but should I now get a Blu-Ray?; differences between standard and hi-def; meditating on dreams and the moods they give you; looking for a new scratching post for my cat Dobby; checking out the candy Kane Christmas music kiosk; checking out toys, Ninja Turtles; HDMI cable for XBox; looking at Blu-Rays, new games; “Blurred Lines” and its lawsuits; Joe Bob Briggs; Creepfest, and a lot more…

  1. A couple of notes, first off, always enjoy your episodes, really glad your recording more.

On Cats, you can always try the squirt gun method to change the scratching behavior, but you have to be around a lot and very diligent in squirting the car every time, plus you need to give them some alternative for scratching. Also I would consider if putting the scratching pads on the couch might just encourage scratching on the couch instead of not.

On the HDMI cable, if you have the time, a great place for cables is http://monoprice.com, just watch out for the shipping costs.

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. Thanks for the advice Bob. We’ve tried the squirt guns before, but to no avail. He seems to have taken to the scratch pad (as you can see in the art for the episode), but he still can’t help but automatically go back to scratching the couch every time he wants some food. Oh well…
