Yeah, I’m not as enthusiastic about Beatles music as I used to be either. I’m on kind of an extended hiatus from listening to the Beatles so that maybe someday I can go back and “rediscover” it.

Frank, your hacking theory of The Beatles seems very plausible, and to me, accurate. For instance, the word “enchant” (which means “to delight”) comes from “spell” and “”witchcraft” (literally, “to chant”). I believe music is magical in itself but there can also be a supernatural force behind it/along with it. Anyway, I think I believe/know exactly what you meant in this monologue, which I found very interesting
I don’t know how it’s possible, but your monologues seem to get richer and deeper the more one listens to you.

I have been watching Star Wars Rebels with my kids. I have to say that for a show I thought would be lame, it has turned out to be pretty interesting (and right in line with The Clone Wars series). Season finale was pretty insane if you haven’t seen yet! Also, I don’t think your “enchanted” theory only applies to the Beatles. I get that with various bands, & then take an extended break before coming back to them. If you heard my last Gunkcast, I included a perspective from my band’s bassist on his Grateful Dead concert experience (lol)…
