citizen166cover55:58 — Join Mike outside on a Saturday night, discussing weird apocalyptic dreams where everyone is floating into space, and being hassled by the boss at your first job. Also, a review of the new movie “The Nice Guys”.

  1. Enjoyed this very much. The Bernard Herrmann musical score in “The Day the Earth Stood Still” is fabulous. He wrote the score for many Hitchcock films, wrote The Twilight Zone theme and many other recognizable scores. (He wrote the score to the “Suspense” radio show as well.

And Robert Wise is one of my heroes as well but more for his early work, but certainly including, “The Day the Earth Stood Still”. He was an editor and cut his fangs with Orson Welles in his early movie days.

  2. Yeah I remember seeing Robert Wise’s editor credit on “Citizen Kane” come to think of it. And I’ve always liked the “North by Northwest” score, which I think was Hermann.
