Remember “Granny” on the Beverly Hillbillies tv show? She disliked yankees and it was all due to the Civil War. As absurd as this sounds, this feeling is still VERY prevalent in the South. Growing up, I heard nothing positive about the people from “up north” and cities up north, especially NYC! Believe it or not, one of the people hated the most in my area (not by me) was Howard Cosell. I am quite sure there is ample stuff written about it, but even if it isn’t it, it’s still real.
I joke about it a lot (please never think I am serious about it) because I find it to be entertaining that people actually still feel this way (about the Civil War). But yeah, Texas vs NY/NJ is a real thing!

I’m sure someone’s probably already said this but if you put the “The” into onsug as In tonsug. It is an anagram of GoNuts

I also often have that experience of wondering if there are many other things I should be tending to (that I am not) in life. Yes, there are probably just so many more important things that should be getting done… but alas, ignorance may just be bliss!!
