  2. I will even argue that Steven Moffat screwed up the writing of John Hurt’s role as the War Doctor! Honestly, I thought at the time he was introduced on the show that his Doctor version was going to go in a much darker direction. I was thinking all sorts of wild theories (including that he could have been the Valeyard)! But in the end it was kind of boring how they handled him. He wasn’t that bad a guy (except that he was going to blow up all the Timelords and daleks–LOL)! John Hurt was one hell of a great actor though!
