“and there’s nothing that I can tell you that you don’t already know”
So, when you go on a cruise, it’s NOT about being on the ocean, it’s about being in pseudo-Las Vegas or New York. Having never been on a cruise, STUPID ME (not really thinking) thought it was about being on a ship to see the ocean. hahahahaha
This brings up the question: why not just go to Vegas/LA/NYC’s similar “night spots” and not risk the boat sinking, or a contagious disease breaking out, terror attack, etc? (I’m really asking this because I don’t know the answer!)

No, there’s a whole lot more than just making drinks and playing pub trivia games. And people don’t go on there to get rich quick or get raving drunk all week or anything. (There are other cruise lines for all that.) It’s not a decadent Vegas trip by any means. These activities were just a little fun; there are lots of things you can do as family entertainment as well: swim, watch Disney stage shows, take the kids to meet the various characters (people dressed in costume of course, but still a lot of fun), play games on the top deck – shuffleboard and basketball and others… there’s a weight room, sessions where you can learn to draw Stitch and other characters alongside the kids, and lots of other activities. I’ve been raving about the ocean this whole time, dude! On one of our port stops we went to the beach in the British Virgin Islands; on another we went up in a cable car to see all the beautiful surroundings of the U.S. Virgin Islands from overhead. The weather was gorgeous. And Disney cruise lines are pretty much the safest in the world. They go to great lengths to prevent diseases from breaking out all over the ship, to the point that if you’re onboard and you get sick, they’ll actually quarantine you so you don’t make everyone else sick. They also make everyone attend a safety session where they tell you what to do in the event of a ship emergency; they take that stuff very seriously. There’s way more fun and good times to be had on a Disney cruise than I could cover in even the five episodes I recorded when I was there.
Maybe my episodes are not presenting the experience properly. I didn’t mean to give the impression I seem to have given here. Hmm.

No, I don’t think you’re giving off that impression per sae; although I don’t really see you doing ocean junk except looking at it. ๐ Really, that’s all I meant. I have no idea what a cruise costs like you went on but I assume you could not stay at a Disney Hotel and do all the stuff you guys did there for cheaper… (haha I am thinking about the bucks, really.)
That’s all. Sorry if I was trolling you, didn’t mean to.
