  1. So what the heck is an olive and pickle shoe? Is it something you set on the table to serve olives and pickles from, along the lines of a butter dish or a gravy boat? At first I thought it might be something you used when canning pickles, like to squeeze the last ones into the jar with or something, but then I think Sade mentioned it was cut glass, which would indicate something more ornamental than functional.
