  1. Frank,

You bring up a very rich vein of the human experience that is being lost to the same ravages that made comics so valuable a few decades ago. Flyers, online meeting boards, local boards hopefully this and VHS footage or better footage of such events. Surely there is some relatively good footage out their that could be improved. Random student filmmakers through the last few decades personally documenting the comics conventions of the late 90’s-2008 or so, where all those video files were available and traded like freely mined gold from the CD-Rom, CD Video, DVD-writer Mountain. I’d love to see it. Films that are out there somewhere, waiting and hoping to be made. Let’s all endeavor to make them, if only in animation or some other artistic method to get the ideas out via outsourcing the work to artists on the self gig sites can manage, find a student similar interests and let them make their work. This is the future of comics. It is morphing to content creators. Time to produce content in a sea of like minded people who are not served at all by the current mainstream comics gods. I
You have the ideas, and you can get them made for an affordable amount of money. My favorite idea of yours is the giant ship, where people are trapped and many of them search the giant world sized ship, looking and finding new rooms. Would love to see it and many other of everyone here’s ideas.

  2. I’ve been in the videogame-mall-robots-NASA-star-wars-scene since 1977. I’ve seen black and white turn into color. Pong like games, where I fantasized on what the play mechanics and game goals of the “adult” games. I killed your parakeet when we were 12. When the console arrived we started with Tennis, and it was better than imagined. Most people thought this sort of gadget was a complete waste. Yet, this little box won them over one by one. The Tennis games that you hooked up to your color or black & white TV sets. Our first device was a clone. The worldwide demand for these game systems as the price game down. The Magnavox Oydessy home console had made this new videogame so popular that someone realized the potential of fabricating the entire game concept in the from of a silicon chip. The Oydessy sold for $100 in 1972. ($548 adjusted to 2020)

Smilbert Duncan was the person who invented that “Pong on a chip” integrated circuit. It was not a program. It was a table tennis computer. A computer on a single IC chip. Printed. Once you have got the chip design. Once you have fabricated it. You have a die for printing money. It would not be possible to print enough transistors to utilize a GPU running a program of its own. There would just be enough transistors, that we could run at sufficient speed that we were able to use as shift register, with D type flip flops, this binary calculation, was the entire game program running and if there were 9 volts coming into the game board then this program was running, ready to receive input of information from the control knobs and button in the form of long inputs of numbers.

    Thank you,
