Doc,
This was very enjoyable. I watched a lot of UK television growing up and now, I had heard the odd phrase such as “what is this, silly season?” and always just assumed it was just an expression, but now I have learned that it was an actual season. The world is unfolding before me as origami folds before a grand master of the craft.
Polk County sounds like my kind of movie, as does Star Virgin, you always expand my watch list.
Thanks for these rich veins of Entertainium!
Chad

Glad you are enjoying the unfolding! Yep, ‘Silly Season’ really used to be a thing here – we used to look forward to late Summer every year when the papers and even TV news would be full of stories about aliens, ghosts and the Loch Ness monster.
Polk County Pot Plane and Star Virgin were both ‘found’ films for me, in that I stumbled into them as they played on obscure streaming channels – I probably would never have watched either of them otherwise. I’m glad I did, as I enjoyed them immensely.
I enjoyed the Polk County related video you sent me – I like that Sheriff. He’s the kind of cop we need around here, (over zealous parking enforcement is still a sore point me).
