  1. Good show. On horses and dogs expecting human direction, Heinlein said that all dogs are slaves, but all cats are free agents. Or something like that. I think it’s because they were thought by the ancient Egyptians to be gods, due to them being the companions of the Anunnaki-type gods, who carried them to earth on their spaceships in order to eliminate any nasty vermin on board. Every ship needs a cat, whether it sails on water or through space. See the OTR show “A Shipment of Mute Fate” for an example. Also the movie Alien, although that particular vermin was a little too much for an ordinary tabby to handle.

    On Porter Wagoner, I remember him introducing “Little Miss Dolly Parton” before she grew up — and out.
