Joshua and Caleb would have got to go in, I guess, but probably uninhabited except for those two.
A harsh Father, indeed. All those animal sacrifices, just to produce a sweet savour. Killing off the other ten spies because they turned in unsuitable reports. Opening sinkholes to swallow some of the malcontents, and focusing deathrays on the others. But you know, we must have seemed like bugs to them, so they probably didn’t consider it all that harsh.
