So Frank…are the UFOs (in your opinion) possibly the Atlantian’s returning? What about other theories that the human race has it’s actual origins connected with ancient extraterrestial visitation to our world?
There’s a very interesting book (maybe written in the 70’s) called “Invisible Residents” which theorizes on the possibility of an advanced civilization hidden below the surface of our planet. It documents countless cases of UFOs witnessed to be flying into & out of the oceans (and various bodies of water) around the earth and of many other encounters similar in history! Quite intriguing I must say!

That looks like a very interesting book!
My main theory about the UFOs is that the whole “space alien” thing is a deception – a way for the people of the “other society” to present themselves to us, and to begin direct, open contact again (long ago they had posed as”gods”). But actually they are just people like us, though they are in possession of much greater knowledge and technology. And we ourselves could also obtain that same knowledge and technology, which would eliminate their advantage over us, which is what they are trying to avoid with this elaborate ruse.

So if this were actually the case…another more advanced society here sharing our planet with us…the only possible place they could be populating (in my opinion) is “within” the earth (as that book would support)! But if they have such technology to have so called “spaceships” then I’m sure they would be capable of interplanetary travel as well. Could they not have left the Earth ages ago and be returning? I still like to believe we are not alone in our great big universe, and support the idea of “otherwordly” visitors!
The bottom line question then (if your theory would be true) is are “they” out to exterminate us?? (all dalek jokes aside–lol!)!

I don’t imagine that “extermination” would be the plan – though perhaps there would be some attempts to reduce the size of the population…

I used to work with weather forecasters and that part where you asked what the jet stream was had me laughing because of how right you actually were. When you jokingly described it as a river of air in the sky I remembered how forecasters would always describe the atmosphere as a liquid and they’d tell me that to understand weather I had to visualize airplanes as swimming like submarines through an ocean of air. The jet stream works exactly as you described it. You could teach a weather class about the jet stream using your analogy.
What I don’t get about UFO conspiracy theories (or at least the part about the aliens interbreeding with ancient civilizations like the Mayans and the people from Peru who drew those big murals that can only be seen from the sky) is that if aliens were conducting experiments in evolution then why did those early civilizations all die of smallpox when the Spaniards invaded South America? If I was an alien and I was doing genetic manipulation, wouldn’t I want to make a stronger species that could survive Spanish illness? Or were they purposely trying to breed weaker humans?
