I used to smoke pipes a lot, and it was an amazing experience. I still smoke pipes occasionally, but I decided not to smoke indoors, and it’s not as easy to do while walking around, so I have kind of stopped. But it is a really rewarding and rich hobby – though of course a health risk I suppose. I found myself mildly addicted (a bit more than cigars) – kind of like the caffeine addiction level – no where near what people seem to go through with cigarettes. But yeah – get a few decent pipes and a variety of quality tobaccos and learn how to pack and light and tamp the pipe and you’re good to go.
