  2. Martin and Lewis were as big/bigger than the Beatles in the early 1950s. Martin, actually wasn’t much of a drinker, they say, until his son was killed in a tragic plane crash. The celebrity roasts are the domain of the Friar’s Club – Martin got the ‘rights’ to do some much tamer versions than what happened when the roasts were a private event (you can find bootleg recordings of early roasts and they are quite ‘blue’). Always great to hear ya!

  3. I always remember watching “The Caddy” as an afternoon movie when I was a kid. Couldn’t tell you what it was about, but Jerry Lewis was very zany in it.
