Wow… funny how you mentioned “A Forest” by The Cure & then Talking Heads! Probably 2 of my favorite bands growing up. I did a goofy keyboard cover of A Forest in my last Halloween Gunkcast (& with my kids–lol)! Talking Heads you should really not forget “Fear of Music”…absolutely love that LP! It was their 2nd with Brian Eno. Remain In Light very awesome! I really liked their Eno period, and also “Speaking In Tongues” & “Stop Making Sense” later on. “Little Creatures” I remember disliking at 1st because it seemed like a drastic change back to a very stripped down sound. But I did change my mind on it later. “Naked” may be a better LP than you think…
Your description of why the original Star Wars trilogy was so appealing (as opposed to the prequel) in comparing the heroes to being like pirates or outlaws…I would definitely agree! Also there was such a fantastic unknown to it. But the newer prequel movies, we all know what has to happen in the end…and yes, it kind of takes the joy out of it.
