Harding, public opinions of Presidents before mass media as compared to now, taking history classes in high school and college, ordering a McDonald’s Coke, the Scopes trial, teaching evolution in schools, the Universe can’t be just 6000 years old, William Jennings Bryan vs. Clarence Darrow, teaching religion in schools from a historical standpoint, Greek mythology unit in seventh grade, the “right” religion?, holy texts were written by fallible human beings, reincarnation, fear of no longer existing, vicious circle of thought, Hell Among the Yearlings (Elmer and Jud, 1928).   1. HIstory, as taught in US public schools, almost completely ignores any real political activity between the Civil War and World War I. During this era, all the insidious institutions that we now can recognize as the ‘rise of corporate slavery’ , were established.
