The Paunch Stevenson Show has been added to The Overnightscape Underground Archive! A complete set of episodes from 2005 to 2012 can be found here:
archive.org/details/The_Paunch_Stevenson_Show_1_to_210
And I will be posting their new shows here as well.
You can also check them out at their site:
paunchstevenson.com
The archive of The Overnightscape Underground is current, up to the end of December 2012.
93 Lots
4,551 tracks
3887:19:45 (162 Days / 23.1 Weeks / 5.3 Months)
Average length – 51:15
The Main Archive (196 GB) is at
Archive.org. This is all the audio as it was originally released. Most files are 128kbps stereo MP3s.
Pocket Overnightscape (40.1 GB) is the same set of tracks as the main archive, but converted to lo-fi 24kbps mono MP3s. It can be downloaded loose or as ZIPs.
Overnightscape Handbook 93 is a PDF that contains detailed information about the archive.
I’m also working on these archive-related projects:
New Pocket Overnightscape is a reorganization of the archive to make it easier to find each show. It is current up to the end of October 2012. Development is on hold at the moment, but I do plan on returning to it. The site right now is a simple file browser and audio player, and is a work in progress.
The Paunch Stevenson Show – I’m working on adding all the episodes to the Onsug Archive. And also, I plan on posting the all the new shows here on Onsug, starting with the next episode, number 211.

The Overnightscape Underground Archive (on archive.org) contains 4,491 tracks, totaling over 160 days of audio, and 192 GB of data.
Pocket Overnightscape is the same exact archive at a lower bitrate to save space, currently at 39.3 GB.
The current archive is organized by month, which means it’s been very difficult to isolate a specific show – until now! I’ve spent a lot of time sorting through the files to come up with the new version of Pocket Overnightscape, which is now fully organized.
I’ve created a new website with a built-in file browser to explore the archive, and download files. This browser also lets you listen to the tracks. Go to:
pocket.overnightscape.com
This is just a temporary interface, but it works quite well (except for a few bugs) and it allow you to see an overview of the entire archive. In the future I’d like to create something similar but with more features.
Let me know what you think!

You can easily download all 4,491 tracks in The Overnightscape Underground…
Check it out!
Note: I’m still working on the reorganized version of Pocket Overnightscape, not sure when it will be done.

Overnightscape Handbook 90 PDF – the ultimate guide to The Overnightscape Underground!

This Friday, 9/28/12, I’ll be returning to radio station WMNJ at Drew University for the almuni weekend to revive the Anything But Monday Show with Mad Mike for one night. We did our first broadcast way back on Feb. 17, 1986, and it’s been a long strange 26+ year trip for ABM since then.
Tune in live Friday night around 10 PM Eastern, at:
http://groups.drew.edu/wmnj/
This is a Flash player, so it won’t work on iOS devices, and I don’t think they have any other listening options. But I will be recording it and releasing it on The Overnightscape Underground so everyone can hear it.

Overnightscape Handbook 88 is the ultimate reference for The Overnightscape Underground!

New Midnight Cassette System is 55 hours of public domain music you can use any way you want, with no strings attached.

As you may know, Pocket Overnightscape is a complete archive of The Overnightscape Underground converted to lo-fi audio. The MP3s are 24kbps/16kHz mono, and have a warm sound like a late night AM radio broadcast.
Currently, the archive contains 4,231 tracks, totaling over 150 days of audio. All this takes up just 37 gigabytes.
In the picture above is a 64GB flash drive I bought at Micro Center today. It was only $32.99. I copied the entire archive onto it, and it has over 20GB of space left.
I would love for other people to make their own copies of Pocket Overnightscape on a flash drive. It really is an important concept for making sure all the shows make it to the future.
Yes, right now, all these files are very easy to download, but nothing is guaranteed. And even if you were to download it to your computer or hard drive – these things have a tendency to break and get lost as one upgrades. But a little flash drive, stored in a safe place, could go on for a long, long time…
