I’m loving this show too. I’m three hours in and it’s a blast. Frank has a gang!!!

I’ve been listening all week. It’s interesting what Ruben said about California’s geology being similar to Australia’s desert outback. I remember reading a while back that some guy came from Australia to California during the Gold Rush to seek his fortune in the 1850s and had noticed the similarities in the layout. He suspected that since CA’s geology was yielding so much gold that it might be possible Australia would have the same results. So he sailed back to his homeland and went into the desert and — sure enough! — struck gold and began a Gold Rush over there also. Interesting story.

I had never heard of the NJ Devil Tree until this episode. After I heard about it, I turned on the Travel Channel and — WOW! — there was a special on the Devil Tree. How is it I have a strange synchonicity every time I listen to an ONSUG show?
