Continuing the audiobook version of my “failed science fiction novel” Severe Repair. This time…CUPLINE 7: HONEYSUCKLE ROVER and CUPLINE 8: IRREGULAR SHIRT, read by computer voice “Azure Harper MAI-Voice-2”.

I wrote Severe Repair something like 20 to 35 years ago (it being 2026 now). Listening to the computer voice read it is a real trip. I’m struck by both how awesome and how truly awful different parts of it are. In this part especially, I really dug some parts, but other parts were very difficult to listen to. Well, it isn’t called a “failed science fiction novel” for nothing. It really is a spectacular failure, which it could never be if it wasn’t full of so much potential, ultimately wasted.
