Wow, this episode of “John’s Other Wife” could almost have been a Bob & Ray skit, if the female voices had been falsetto-faked. I know they did “Mary Noble, Backstage Wife” (as “Mary Backstage, Noble Wife”) but did they ever do “John’s Other Wife”?
More on Jack Webb: I don’t think there are many episodes of the “Johnny Madeiro” series in existance, but there are planty of “Pete Kelly’s Blues” episodes around, in which Webb plays a Prohibition-era jazz musician who usually manages to get in trouble with the mob and/or the law. They made a decent movie out of it, with plenty of familiar faces and voices. I don’t think I’ve ever seen “The D.I.” I’ll have watch for it to show up on TCM.
