I know what your saying about an emersive world though, only a matter of time before buildings/city’s get “skins” so it looks completeley different but in the mean time theres this

I think it will get really interesting when 3D without glasses becomes available on tiny projectors in effect creating a hologram which will really bring augmented reality INTO our reality but that is maybe 50 years away? TED had some interesting clips I think too.

Alsooo by the way have u checked out battle cam on film on dot com it’s this billionaire that created these Internet tv channels and gives people money to do weird dares like nail their balls to the table and set them on fire! It’s getting dangerously close to the hunger games!

jeepers. i see no workable way VR can work. you’d walk into walls, flail an arm into furnishings, etc, or need some VAST, safe, cushioned area for it to work in any sense the way reality does. i have a strong suspicion that is why no one is bothering with the technology. stuff like the ‘holo-deck’ remain, as far as i can see, deeply impossible unless we figure a way to directly access the brain and disable the body, which sounds kind of dangerous.
