Mike listened to podcasts in the early days of the new media’s life, but didn’t find the things he wanted in it. Until he heard The Overnightscape Underground, here was the thing he was looking for, and by finding that thing, he found a community.
Late-night rambles on multiple topics were definitely in his wheelhouse; things were just getting interactive at this time online, and Mike thought this was the time to launch The Midnight Citizen.
Since 2010 and now at 300 episodes, Mike has pushed forth into the cool night air a legacy of monology that is uncompromised. As the citizen finally goes to bed, you are welcome to check out the next chapter in the person’s life.
Long live The Midnight Citizen, he’s not dead, just as always, taking a long-deserved break.

Ted Ganchiff decided in the late 90’s to take the road less travelled with a site called Give Me Talk!, making everyone a talk show host of their own program with audio on the internet.
To say Give Me Talk was ahead of it’s time would be an understatement, it was a concept that would come to be but not under his direction.
Give Me Talk was an inspired idea that had great promise, but at the wrong time in history. If only he would have let that server run for a bit longer, we might be calling him the Podfather rather than someone else.
