1:43:15 – Dave in Kentucky resurrects the subject matter of “Themes Like Old Times #5” in this special crossover episode, which includes the resurrections of:  (1) Mary Lamont, (2) the Dr. Kildare series, and (3) Lew Ayres’ career.

Theme Song, 3rd verse:  “Thought I was stuck in 1933!  1940’s lookin’ good to me!  I made a quantum leap into a time warp!  Won’t never drink no more bathtub gin!  Gee, I hope that Wendell Wilkie wins!  I made a quantum leap into a time warp!  Japs flying sorties in the Pacific!  The nineteen-forties still look terrific!  Ain’t nothing worse than what we just been through!  Ain’t no question what I’m gonna do:  I’ll be a-doin’ that rag, doin’ that Time Warp Rag!”

Into the Time Warp #2 – Dueling Propaganda (6/1/18)

1:38:33 – Mr. and Mrs. Piper (“The Couple Next Door”) fight for the right to teach their own version of history to their kids. When this conflicts with the official narrative of the state, the forces of government, media, society and big business unite against them. Dave in Kentucky uses the ensuing propaganda war as an excuse to present his own version of the truth. But that’s okay, because his propaganda is true!

Theme Song, 2nd verse: “Mussolini’s got the trains on time! FDR had best get off the dime! I made a quantum leap into a time warp! I lost a million when the market crashed! I can’t remember where the rest is stashed! I made a quantum leap into a time warp! While we’ve been starting this Great Depression, the Reds are plotting an insurrection. The market’s takin’ it on the chin, I’m still drinkin’ my bathtub gin, and I’m a-doin’ that rag, doin’ that Time Warp Rag!”

Show Art: Peg Lynch & Alan Bunce as Mr. & Mrs. Piper, the Couple Next Door.
