scottlo calling – episode 003 (11/8/12)

1:04:33 - A couple of days ago it seemed there wouldn’t be a next episode of scottlo calling. It felt as if there was nothing left to talk about. And then curious things began to happen.

First there was a blog post from Radio Errols about receiving a recent news paper from Japan’s Kyodo news service via fax that led me to a cool old internet project.

Then while thinking about animated GIFs of exploding microwave ovens, I unexpectedly heard about the chance discovery that resulted from a Zagnut bar that melted in Percy Sinclair’s pocket.

And before you could “Stand clear and keep your eye on the ball” 64 minutes of audio presented itself in mp3 format for your listening enjoyment.

scottlo calling – episode 002 (11/1/12)

59:21 – Those who are willing and able to listen to this hour-long recording will get to hear how a Chinese knock-off of a classic Sony transistor radio came into my possession recently. The episode also features a few recordings of a local radio station that were picked up with said recorder. And finally there is my effort to describe what the terrestrial radio cross-casting ds106 radio assignment, as alluded to in the previous blog post, might entail.
