1:38:04 – Before he defected to WOR in the Big Apple, Jean Shepherd worked at several other radio stations, four of which (WSAI, WCKY, WKRC, WLW) were in the Cincinnati area. During one of these brief bouts of employment, Shep spent a summer in Covington, Kentucky. Dave in Kentucky introduces and comments on four show segments in which Shep in New York talks about Shep in Kentucky. 15:40 – Welcome to Tape Land! On each episode, I’ll present the audio of a cassette tape from my collection. It’s a way to help motivate me to digitize more of my archives.

I have previously released Shatter Cider – but with the wrong date (1987), no track listing, and in some cases, a different name (Shatter Cider Suite (just the first 5 songs)). For this release, I made a brand new transfer from the original cassette, and present the title and track listing below, exactly as written on the tape label.

I recorded most of my “Little Frankie Nora” music in 1987, which is why I originally thought this tape was from that year. But apparently, I recorded music over the next few years, and collected it in “Shatter Cider” – making it the final Little Frankie Nora release.
