3:12:59 – Middle-Eight Dream State is a series that contains longform and/or experimental material and will be released whenever seems appropriate to my weird creative impulses (okay, so it’s been a while). This episode is audio taken from an old VHS tape which I had converted to digital format about two years ago. It contains footage of a series of parties celebrating various birthdays, as well as two Christmases, with my family and two other families we were close friends with at the time. I was 12-13 years old during this period. The lighting wasn’t always up to snuff, but naturally that doesn’t concern us here at all. Portions of this audio have been released in Falling Cow Compendium and Bumper Chain Cosmic episodes, but this is the entire videocassette with all banter, laughter, and talky-talk intact. Recorded 11/13/1987 through 12/25/1988. M8D 005.

30:14 – The Great Flood did not rid the world of giants, any more than it rid the world of normal-sized humans. After the Nephilim came the Anakim, the Emim, the Horim, the Zamzummim, the Avim, and God knows how many other plus-sized races or tribes. King Og of Bashan, with his thirteen-and-a-half-foot bed, was thought by Moses to have been the last of the giants, but we know that Goliath came along later. The Bible provides the information; Dave in Kentucky provides the commentary.
Show art: Ancient Sumerian carving depicting normal-sized humans in the presence of an Anunnaki giant, Public Domain.
Theme music: Unknown hymn used as the theme music for Father Coughlin’s radio show in the 1930s, Public Domain, performed by Dave in Kentucky (2021), Public Domain Dedication.
