I can definitely relate. I go through this kind of flux all the time. I come up with new ideas all the time, but lately I’ve been trying to think these things through more completely before doing anything with them. I find that in the long run I am happier keeping things more simple, in terms of the format.
But one of the great things about this Onsug style of audio is that we all have the freedom to try out new things, so I think it’s good to experiment and see where it leads.
Interestingly, one of my persistent (yet half-baked) ideas, “Ramplers”, envisions a system where there are no more “shows” – it’s more based on the hosts themselves – and the audio they produce in a given time. Though as I said, the idea is still too vague to do anything with. But I’ve definitely been wondering about the need for the concept of a “show” at all – but for now, that is the paradigm we are in…
