The Midnight Citizen 84 — “The Phone in the Bushes”

1:35:37 — Join Mike on the streets of Birmingham, AL. Goings on include: Birmingham “Slicefest” happening down the street; street art; the nature of synchronicity and mirror universes; visiting Avondale Park on a muggy Saturday afternoon; graphic novel “Teenagers from Mars” (2005); noticing various Birmingham neighborhoods that have been gentrified; “The Guy”, my pot-dealing neighbor, has skipped town; HBO show, “Hello Ladies — very funny, but cancelled, and; more!

  1. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush is like for example Someone owes u 10 euro and offers to give you 7 now or 12 later, the bird in the hand is the 7 even though u may never get the other 3, the two in the bush is the 12. Basically sometimes it makes good sense to have something now then the promise of more later because it may never amount to anything either as a false promise or maybe a deal falling through etc
