  3. Incredibly, ‘Invasion of the Saucer Men’ was remade (on an even lower budget) by legendary Texas schlockmeister Larry Buchanan in the sixties. The aliens aren’t as good, but it is in colour and is incredibly, well, schlocky.

    Btw, you have my sympathies over the heating situation – just a week without hot water back in February, (after my hot water cylinder sprang a leak and poured its contents through the kitchen ceiling), put my stress levels sky high. I’m still repairing the water damage in the kitchen.
