those swirls in the sky coinside with a sheduled Russian test launch of a submarine based missile, so eksperts are 99% sure the spiral was caused by an out of controll missile spinning around its axis.

Russians finally confirmed that it was a failed missile http://www.examiner.com/x-958-Tampa-Space-Program-News-Examiner~y2009m12d11-Mysterious-lights-in-Norway-Russian-missile-test guess they where too embarrassed by the 6th failure in a row to admit it at first…
Here is my Norwegian perspective on the Obama peace price thing:
I tend to agree that it was “too early” at the very least (population is fairly evenly split but a ~10-20% majority do seem to support it), yeah I can understand the explanation about him working to reduce nuclear weapon stockpiles and so forth and it’s not entirely undeserved, but I don’t understand the rush, they could have at least given him a few years and see what he actually accomplished first rater than award it for just good intentions. My guess is that it was a “dry year”, and they took the opportunity to jump on the Obama bandwagon “while the iron is hot” as it where to get some publicity and/or give a vote of confidence for his stated policies. To be honest I think it was far worse when they awarded it to Al Gore for his anti-climate change work. I mean regardless of what side you are on the climate change thing it’s the Nobel peace price, not the Nobel environmentalism price…
I’m not too upset about the Afghanistan and Iraq stuff to tell the truth, some people are very adamant that the leader of a nation at war should never be awarded the price period. I think that’s overly black & white thinking though, he did not start those wars and now that they are his mess he have no choice but to act responsibly and try to re-establish some semblance of order before pulling out. Hopefully he can drum up some more international support than Bush managed to help get the situation to a point where all foreign troops can safely leave without it turning into a 5 way civil war the day after.
