  1. Frank, those thugs on the street robbing people with use of fear sound like a total blight on society. I can’t help but feel that you give them too much understanding and that you give the cops too little. I know we are supposed to always think of the cops as pigs etc, but come on. The only thing protecting normal people from these creeps are the underpaid, overdangered, over-regulated poor police people.

  2. While this is a multifaceted issue, I did not disapprove of what the police did. I do think they should crack down on the “CD sellers”. What that guy did was just insane, pulling a gun on the cops, what did he expect.

  3. The idea that some nut is in the middle of times square with a machine gun is crazy scary and the fact that he was willing to use it over defending his $1000 a day hustle is even scarier. I can only imagine if his machine gun would have worked what the death toll may have been. I used to have to deal with these kind of personal attacks in New Orleans and really believe that it is the same as a robbery, the clear implication is hand over $10 or I’m willing to kill you.
