  1. Is ‘Consciousness’ (conscience) just another word for ‘soul’? I believe it is. And though the etymology doesn’t actually suggest this, I think it’s funny (odd) that ‘conscience’ breaks down to con (against) science – a soul is supernatural (therefore, “against science”).
