A very insightful episode and somewhat intimate views from all.
Clara, while it’s frustrating to not get comments, just go back and look how few comments Mr. Nora has gotten over the past year. People don’t like to comment – but they DO listen (despite what I said in the podcast). Would you be happy if you knew 15 people were listening? If so, imagine you have an audience of 15. And talk to them. And I appreciate your honesty on this podcast.
PQ – The greatest host the Central’s ever had. 🙂 I missed you not having a Night Project this past week. I think you may hear about it in my next podcast.
I think it might be fun to have a MINI-podcast every week, where perhaps whoever chooses to talks about the recent Central. A 10 minute “rebuttal” or some such.
Cali Dingo, if you are reading, I miss your comments.

Hey Jimbo,
Thanks for the tip! For now, the only way I can articulate how I feel about podcasting is say you were meeting up with someone for a chat, but they didn’t say anything the entire time as you hold a one-sided conversation. As you search for things to say that might be interesting to them, they have no response and you can’t read their reaction (face/body language).
I don’t know about most people, but that’s an uncomfortable situation to me. I firmly believe “it’s only awkward if you make it so” and comfortable silences are definitely possible, but in this situation I don’t know – I feel like there should be some sort of reaction or feedback in some way, not necessarily a comment. I don’t know how or what, but something.
All in all just one confused individual. Appreciate you taking the time to record some comments though, and I’ll be checking out your latest episode soon!

Well,I totally agree with what you say here – because I honestly feel the same way lot of the time. I need to know that someone – ANY ONE is listening and that just makes it all worthwhile. It’s sad and frustrating to think you have gone to all of that trouble of making a podcast and find no one is listening… I often feel this way myself. If you listen to my shows, I often ask that we support each other with comments and encouragement.
It’s unfortunate that most of the people who frequent the Onsug are probably men. Most of us men are lousy communicators and REALLY don’t know what to say, especially to a (I assume) young gal such as yourself.
Your podcasts are completely different from the others here and it is so unique that we all have to get used to the styles and pattern. You have a very special point of view and I have read in several places here that people feel that this perspective is welcomed and appreciated. Ruben’s perspective is also fresh and different – the whole Australian thing doesn’t hurt either.
Don’t give up. Stick with it and know that people are listening. People are enjoying your work. and we appreciate your views. 🙂
