I’m flattered to be compared to PQ – I just wish I had a voice like his! The great thing about Onsug is that this is just about the only place I can talk about esoteric pop culture stuff and people don’t think I’m crazy. It’s also just about the only place where I can find people who talk about stuff I’m interested in – I’ve been put onto so much great stuff that I didn’t know about before by the various hosts here.
As for the perils of becoming famous, I guess that’s why so many of us hide behind pseudonyms – just in case fame comes knocking on our doors, we can deny that our alter egos had anything to do with us. (Actually, in my case, I mainly don’t use my real name online so as to throw my employers off the scent, as I’m sure that they wouldn’t approve of anything I do on the web. It is quite disturbing – bearing in mind that I live in a supposedly free country – the number of people I’m aware of who have lost their jobs or faced sanctions when their web-based activities have come to light).
